Forensic Psychology Associates started on 10/31/94, when Dr. Evan Nelson left his job as a Psychologist Senior at the Forensic Unit of Central State Hospital to set out for private practice. After a brief stint with another business partner, he was joined in 1996 by his wife, Dr. Michele Killough Nelson, when she left her position as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the VCU Medical Center. Together, we now conduct about 500 evaluations per year, mostly within a radius of 100 miles from Chesterfield County, Virginia. We also offer sex offender treatment on a limited basis. The administrative staff in our practice, Lisa Fitzhugh and Bobbie Harvey, have been with us a combined total of 13 years.  In September of 2007, we opened our new 2400 square foot outpatient office and added our receptionist, Pam Roop.  In addition to clinical work, our office will partner with local graduate students who want to conduct research in our areas of practice.
